Town Planning

This section is responsible for physical planning and land use management. It handles layout plans, subdivision applications, zoning, development applications and ensures that all developments are carried out according to approved planning standards and regulations.

Building Inspectorate

The Building Inspectorate Section is responsible for inspecting buildings and construction works to ensure compliance with approved building plans, public health standards and building regulations. The section also monitors illegal structures and promotes safe construction practices.

District AIDS Coordination Advisory Committee (DACAC)

The DACAC coordinates HIV/AIDS programmes and interventions within the district. The committee works with stakeholders to promote awareness, prevention, advocacy and support services aimed at reducing the impact of HIV/AIDS in communities

Survey Section

The Survey Section provides land surveying services and supports planning and infrastructure development projects. The section is responsible for site measurements, boundary identification, mapping and preparation of survey data required for development planning.

Socio-Economic Planning Section

This section coordinates socio-economic development programmes within the district. It plays a key role in the management and implementation of Constituency Development Fund (CDF) projects, research activities, data collection, project monitoring and evaluation, and preparation of development plans aimed at improving community livelihoods.
